This bowstring viaduct crossed over the Garbh Uisge in the Pass of Leny. For an Oban bound (westbound) train it crossed from the east to the west bank. The viaduct was completed in 1867 by John Mackay.
This bridge was strengthened when loads and locomotives increased in weight.
The viaduct was demolished after closure. The abutments remain but it was not replaced when the former railway trackbed was converted into a foot/cycle path - instead this continues alongside on the west/south bank until regaining the trackbed at the Pass of Leny South Viaduct.
