Description

This was the original terminus of the Peebles Railway which was left on a spur when the line was continued east to Galashiels. A new station Peebles [NB] was provided on the new line in 1864.

Track embedded in cobbles remain at March Street Mills (established 1884) which were to the west of the station.

Nothing remains of the old station but Old Station Bridge on March street was originally built to serve the station before the road was extended west.
