Description

This was a single track eight girder viaduct crossing the Powmillon Burn.

This was the southern of two viaducts built for the Mid Lanark Lines (Caledonian Railway) east of the junction at Strathaven Central. This viaduct was built on the line east to Stonehouse [Lanarkshire].

Unlike Powmillon Viaduct [North] the line over this viaduct was close to level.

The line closed in 1965.

Both Powmillon viaducts were demolished and nothing remains of either viaduct.
