The viewpoint from this hill gives a good view of Oban Bay, the isle of Kerrera and the Sound of Kerrera, the mountains of Mull and even the distant Duart Castle. Like McCaig's Tower a view can be had of Oban Distillery, Oban station and Oban Station Pier.
The name is due to the site being used, apparently, for a Minister to address a congregation.
