This brick works was west of Kilmarnock on the Busbie Branch (Glasgow, Paisley, Kilmarnock and Ayr Railway) (Kilmarnock to Irvine line). The works received clay from Southhook Colliery, directly to its west. The works made not only bricks but also sanitary ware.
