This is a level crossing between the former Auchterarder (west) and Dunning (east) stations. There was a signal box until 1966.

DRS 37515, travelling light engine from Grangemouth to Inverness for snow clearance work, is damaged after hitting a potatoes carrying lorry stuck in ice and snow on Whitemoss Level Crossing.
