The Ayrshire Railway Preservation Group / Doon Valley Railway sales and information stand will be Paisley Model Railway Show on 2nd & 3rd December 2023. The show is being organised by Renfrewshire Model Railway Club and will have 39 model railway layouts and 14 traders attending and is being held in the Paisley Centre in the town centre, which is a short walk from Paisley Gilmour Street Station.

The Kyle Model Railway Club exhibition takes place on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th May 2023 in the Concert and Walker Halls in Troon.

A heritage railway in the Doon Valley could be evicted from its site unless it can raise £250,000 in the next three months.
The Ayrshire Railway Preservation Group (ARPG), operators of the Doon Valley Railway, say they were given notice earlier this year of their landlord's intention to sell the buildings at their site near Dalmellington. They've now launched a bid to raise quarter of a million pounds to buy the buildings they currently lease and use for the museum, caf, shop and toilets, as well as workshops and storage. Since Saturday 18th February 2023 Ayrshire Railway Preservation Group (ARPG) who operate Doon Valley Railway have initiated a crowd funding campaign to save Doon Valley Railway. This follows the recently disappointing news from the owner who currently leases many of the buildings to ARPG, expressing they now wish to sell the buildings Doon Valley Railway lease for operations.
(Permalink) Ayrshire Railway Preservation Group Dalmellington Iron Works Doon Valley Railway  Dunaskin Platform: The Doon Valley Railway is holding Open days again in 2022. The Barclay diesel shunter is presently deputising for Barclay 0-4-0ST No. 10, which is awaiting reassembly after boiler work.
