A marmalade coloured train arrived at Wick and brought out several trainspotters who knew all about the specialist work it was undertaking.

Network Rail and Jarvis have reached an aggreement to allow Jarvis to withdraw from rail infrastructure maintenance contracts. Network Rail will take over the work and staff will be transferred from Jarvis to Network Rail. In Scotland Jarvis maintained the East Coast Mainline between Edinburgh and Berwick. Jarvis will still be investigated regarding the Potters Bar crash and recent derailment at London's Kings Cross station.
