Moray Council is preparing a £770,000 upgrade to the Speyside Way to encourage more cyclists to use the route to travel between communities.

Moray councillors have agreed to accept an offer of over £97,000 for the former railway station at Ballindalloch.
The property, which stands on the Speyside Way long distance footpath, was leased by the council as a backpackers' hostel until it closed recently because of a problem with the water supply.
