Reddish Shed

Last built EM1 76057, formerly named Ulysses and taken into service in August 1953, stands withdrawn at Reddish depot in 1978. As a vacuum only example it was taken out of use in February 1977 but must have been a source of spares because it was not cut up until 1983, along with those 33 locos that survived until the closure of the Woodhead route. 76040 standing alongside was one of these, being finally withdrawn in July 1981.
