Reddish Shed

26000 Tommy standing in the sidings to the west of Reddish depot in the late 50s/early 60s. The photograph shows the contrast with the redesigned cab on 26009, which was fitted to subsequent production locomotives following feedback from drivers on the Netherlands State Railway, to whom prototype 26000 was loaned pending the opening of the Woodhead route in 1954.
