Haigh
The first cast on site abutment for the replacement bridge across Haigh Lane can be seen part way through the transfer from casting position onto one of the two heavy duty trestles seen beyond the 750 ton lifting capacity crane. Once both abutments are in correct position the deck will be added and all bolted up. Work will then continue to create a fully complete bridge unit able to be placed onto prepared footings, and ready for ballast and track to then be laid across it. The replacement works have to be completed in a 52 hour possession in early August.
