Hopetown Carriage Works

The north wing of the former Hopetown Carriage Works, Darlington, built by the Stockton and Darlington Railway in 1853. Photograph taken in October 2008, at which time this section of the building was in use as a workshop by the North Eastern Locomotive Preservation Group, while the south wing had been occupied for some time by the A1 Locomotive Trust during construction of 60163 Tornado.
