Glasson Dock
Glasson Dock is not busy nowadays, but a visit at high tide can sometimes see a bit of activity. On 1st March 2025, marine survey catamaran 'Katabatic' and another smaller vessel were locking down from the canal basin into the dock itself and then on out into the Lune Estuary. The swing bridge at Glasson sits directly above the lock and has to be opened for any movements in and out of the basin. This lock and swing bridge feature in Series 5 of the crime drama series 'The Bay', released in Spring 2025.
