Balornock Shed: A4 60006 'Sir Ralph Wedgwood' in the coaling line at Balornock (St Rollox) engine shed, after a morning run from Aberdeen on the three-hour 'Bon Accord' express. Also in the queue, on 30th March 1965, is Standard 9F 2-10-0 92015.
Hull: The south end of Hull station, on 23 March 2009, with a Northern 158 leaving on a local service to Doncaster.
Kilmalcolm: One of Ladyburn sheds smartly turned out Fairburn tanks, no 42238, seen here shortly after leaving Kilmacolm on a fine and sunny 25 August 1958 with a train for Princes Pier.

Clayhills Yard: The 7th April 2021 was not a nice day in Aberdeen. The LNER AZUMA is just about to pull out of Clayhills to be the 09:52 (1E15) to KGX. Two Scotrail HST sets are also stabled.
Leith South Yard: It's not often you see a level crossing across a yard, though there is no real road on either side and anyway the yard is not now operational. The crossing was perhaps created in the days when huge numbers of pipeline sections arrived by rail and were stored on this side of the line, now a scrubby expanse of nothing. Arthur's Seat is in the background.
Newsham: UK Railtours' excursion on 7th April 2018 on the Ashington freight line at the site of Newsham station, one-time junction for the branch to Blyth that closed to passengers on 2nd November 1964 at the same time as the Ashington line. Having left the ECML at Morpeth travelling via the freight line to Bedlington where it meets the Ashington line, the train is seen after reversal about to retrace its steps through Bebside and Bedlington before going on to the North Blyth freight branch. Now that funding for the reopening of the Ashington line has been granted, a new station will be built here.
Donibristle Platform: LSL's 47593 passes Donibristle, on its way from Aberdeen to Joppa Straight, on 30 March 2021.
Balerno: One of three surviving telegraph poles on the old Balrno branch in April 2021, This and one other are between Balerno and Currie, with the third between Currie and Kinleith.
Ribble Viaduct: Northern 158757 crosses the Ribble Viaduct, on the approach to Preston, with a York to Blackpool North service on 15 July 2015.
