Hagdale Chromate Quarry: Looking south from the former Littlehamar Road level crossing along the course of the Hagdale Chromate Railway, a horse-worked 2ft 6in line from Hagdale Quarry to Sandison Pier on Balta Sound. The sheds there can be seen in the right background. This section of line lasted from 1907 to 1927.

Oxford: Colas Rail 59003 passed through Oxford, northbound light engine, on 15th May 2024 working from Westbury (Wilts) to Bescot at 1210 hours. Anniesland: Network Rail engineers worked through the night to install the steel structures at Anniesland railway station on Saturday (June 15). Great Western Road was temporarily reduced to one westbound lane at Anniesland Cross to accommodate the three cranes needed to lift the steelwork safely. The same road closure will no longer be required this coming weekend. The lift towers are 12 metres tall, with steel walkways connecting the upper towers to the existing station platforms. This will make it easier to use the station for those with mobility difficulties, and people travelling with bicycles, pushchairs or heavy luggage. The footpath underneath the railway bridge, parking bays, and the inside eastbound lane of Great Western Road will remain closed for the duration of the project, which will be completed later this year.

Blackpool North [Tram]: View over the driver's shoulder as a Flexity tram runs down Talbot Road on 17th June 2024, the second day of public operations on the new Blackpool North branch. A basic 15 minute interval service is in place on the branch, with alternate trams going south to Starr Gate and north to Fleetwood. These combine with trams bypassing the new line on the original route to give an overall four trams per hour service over the entire network, although this is increased at busy times on the section between Pleasure Beach and Little Bispham.
