Victoria Swing Bridge [Leith]: Performing the unveiling at the official reopening by Forth Ports, National Transport Trust vice-chair John Cameron CBE said that, completed in 1874, the Grade A-listed Victoria Swing Bridge, designed by Alexander Rendel, is the largest counterweighted swingbridge in Scotland, and until the completion of the Kincardine Bridge in 1936 is thought to have been the longest clear-swing bridge-span in Britain. Today it enjoys a quieter life as a route for walkers and cyclists through the regenerated Leith Docks, and Forth Ports are to be congratulated on their splendid refurbishment which will enable continued enjoyment of its graceful appearance by visitors including passers-by on the Tram.

RNAD Crombie: RNAD Crombie was one of the places served as required by the Mossend - Thornton Speedlink service, and in this shot from 1991 26006 is busy shunting vans by the shores of the Forth. This visit resulted in my friend, in whose car I was travelling, having the police call at his house a couple of days later to enquire why we were in that area!
