East India Harbour: The MacBraynes turbine steamer ‘King George V’ at her regular winter quarters in the East India Harbour, Greenock. The photograph dates from around 1970.
Rannoch: View from Rannoch station platform in May 2008 showing the extensive lineside fire resulting from K4 61994 ‘The Great Marquess’ and ‘Black 8’ 48151 blasting north on the 1 in 53 gradient with an 11-coach private charter (see [[90956]]).
Lydgate Viaduct: 195122, working Blackpool North to York, slowly rounds the curve on the approach to Lydgate Viaduct as it drops down from Copy Pit towards Hall Royd Junction on 12th October 2024. These speed restricted curves make the climb to Copy Pit even more of a challenge when steam excursions run this way. This view taken from the bridge carrying Knots Road, which appears to be a temporary steel structure but has been in place for many years.
Seaham Harbour: Londonderry Collieries chaldron wagon No.256 preserved alongside the dock gates at Seaham Harbour.
Alyth Junction: The remains of Alyth Junction station in1974. Passenger services ended on 4th September 1967, although goods traffic is noted as continuing to be handled until 2nd August 1976. The view is looking towards Forfar.
Wetheral: Northern 158845 heading to Carlisle, and 158817 heading towards Newcastle, pass at Wetheral on 5th October 2024.
Crieff Viaduct: This is the southern elevation of the Crieff Viaduct which crosses over the Turret Burn and, on the left, a footpath leading to Lady Mary's Walk.
Ayr MPD: 27049, between the snow ploughs, at Ayr depot. This was Ayr Rail fair weekend, 30th October 1983.
