Lewisham [DLR]: DLR unit no. 103, which I had boarded at Shadwell, just arrived and terminating at Lewisham, with a train from Bank and waiting to return thereto, at 09.49 on Saturday, 4th January 2025. This is an interchange with National Rail Southeastern services and a multitude of suburban TfL bus routes.

East Kilbride: 156476 and 156511 await departure from East Kilbride, on 21st March 2022, with the 10.57 to Glasgow Central.

Kirkby Stephen: Northern 158795 departing Kirkby Stephen station and passing the signalbox and former goods shed on Sunday 2nd February 2025 working the 1223hrs Carlisle to Leeds service. The current signal box at Kirkby Stephen was erected in 1972 and replaced the 1892 built Midland box. The goods shed became disused in 1984 but the site is still occupied by a haulage firm.

Aston: 370037 approaching Aston from the Bescot line, with a service to Wolverhampton on 15th January 2025. The tracks diverging right are the line to Lichfield.

Birmingham Snow Hill: Spot the station entrance. I walked to Snow Hill from New Street - after asking a policeman for directions! - and arrived in time to catch the train before the one recommended by Rail Journey Planner.

Innerpeffray: The trackbed of the Crieff to Perth line is seen in a view looking west towards Pittentian.

Bo'ness: Former National Coal Board, East Fife Area, Hunslet 0-6-0ST no. 19, in the guise of WD 75254, leaving Bo'ness with a train to Birkhill in 2012.
