West India Quay: View from rear of DLR unit from Bank to Lewisham passing West India Quay on the station avoiding line, at 09.30 on Saturday, 4th January 2025. I fail to see why this was considered necessary, an expense that could have been avoided since trains from Bank to Lewisham no longer call at this station but they do on the way back from Lewisham to Bank. Only southbound trains from Stratford via Bow Church call here and they mostly terminate at the next stop at Canary Wharf although peak hour through services from Stratford to Lewisham were recently restored.

Leslie: East of Leslie station were exchange sidings for the Fettykil Paper Mill and the short branch to the mill. The exchange sidings were on the left in this view, paper mill branch straight ahead and the line to Markinch over the Leslie Viaduct off to the right. The view looks east.

Hyde Central: 195004 calls at Hyde Central on a Rose Hill Marple to Piccadilly service on 15th January 2025. All original platform buildings at both Hyde stations have been removed but the Friends of the Hyde Loop group keep them tidy and have displayed a number of eye-catching posters to brighten them up.

Callington: Not much one can say about this 2012 picture except once here was Callington Station. There is no trace that a Railway ever existed here and the station and goods yard are now an industrial estate. Kit Hill can be seen in the distance.

Dollerie Level Crossing: There was a minor level crossing south of Dollerie House near Muir of Dollerie farm. This view looks east from the crossing, and over a short ploughed out section, towards Long Plantation, beyond which was Abercairny station.

Bruce Grove: The bridge carrying the Liverpool Street to Enfield Town line, dating from 1872 and now part of London Overground, over Bruce Grove at its junction with Tottenham High Road with the entrance to Bruce Grove station hard on the pavement by the junction on the left. The bus is ENN 51, route W4 to Tottenham Hale Ferry Lane about to turn right onto the High Road and seen here on the afternoon of Tuesday, 6th September 2024. I can just remember trolleybuses passing under this bridge and along Tottenham High Road when I was very small, shortly before they were all withdrawn in 1961 and the wires removed.
