Flixton: Rising now at 1:135 towards the Manchester Ship Canal, this 4-car EMR Class 158 has just passed through Flixton, with a Norwich to Liverpool service on 5th February 2025. It will cross the canal on the 75' high bridge that can be seen in the distance. The CLC line between Flixton and Irlam was diverted from its original route in 1893 to climb over the then new canal.

Greenburn Loading Point: On a pleasant April day in 2005, 66139 has arrived with empties at Greenburn and loading is now underway. When completed the train will form 6R55, the 14.40 Greenburn to Ayr.

Salford Crescent: The single island platform at Salford Crescent can be a bit of a squeeze but the passengers on 195130 and 195105 needn't worry about that as the CAF DMUs fly past, working 1Y97 1352hrs Barrow-in-Furness to Manchester Airport, on 17th February 2025.

Glasgow Queen Street High Level: 156477 waits to leave Queen Street with the 12.03 to Anniesland.

Camden Road: View from 378 unit, London Overground to Stratford, on the ex-North London Railway viaduct east of Camden Road station, crossing the Great Northern Railway main line north of King's Cross, looking north towards the second set of the three tunnels (the one on the far right disused) south of Caledonian Road, at 11.50 on Monday, 17th February 2025. The glorious sunshine belies the fact that it was a bitterly cold day.

Erdington: The Cross City line, Birmingham. 730019 calls at Erdington with a service for Bromsgrove on 15th January 2025.

Methven: On the curve where the Methven line turned from going south west to south east the line re-crossed the Methven Burn. It re-crossed it again shortly afterwards at Tippermallo as it approached Methven Junction.

Flixton: 185127 re-joins the original CLC alignment and hurries through Flixton with a Lime Street to Cleethorpes TPE service on 5th February 2025. The low Manchester platform has been raised on part of its length but on this Liverpool side there is just a 'Harrington Hump' by the shelter and a big step up into the train at other doors.
