Riccarton Junction: The south end of Riccarton, seen from a hillside overlooking the railway, in late July or early August 1969. The trackbed of the Border Counties Railway can be seen in front of the `box, with the Carlisle line heading off into the distance.

In 2015, the tunnel received £80,000 worth of improvements, with the arch repointed and ventilation shafts restored.
Edinchip Accommodation Bridge: A view looking south on the C&O above Lochearnhead showing the curve where the line started the entry into Glen Ogle high above the village. The linesides are quite a bit more overgrown than they were in 1993. The superelevation of the trackbed on curves is less obvious.
