Penistone: A 2025 update on the former Woodhead side of Penistone station where the former platforms can be clearly seen. The Trans Pennine trail runs alongside out of view on the left. See image [[92404]] from this spot in 1977.
Carnforth Shed [LNWR]: Long term stored locomotives at Carnforth Steamtown, viewed from the south end of the Barrow platform on 21st May 2025. Prominent is the former Fragonset 47355, buffered up to former Advenza 57005, with further stored locomotives in the siding alongside.

In green primer is 47776, although the number of long scrapped 47555 has been hand written on the cabside. Behind the 47 is a derelict 37 with cut out cabside number panel, 08418 which worked in the yard here until fairly recently, and 47787. There are numerous other stored locos here along with the large operational fleet of 37s, 47s and 57s.
Warmley: Warmley Signal Box has been brilliantly restored by a community group who look after the Warmley Community Gardens and the box. It now forms part of the Bristol and Bath Railway Path with the Signal Box open to the public most Saturday afternoons.
Glenfinnan: A June 1985 shot of Black 5 44767 climbing towards Glenfinnan station during the second season of operation of the ’West Highlander’. One of those all too rare days on which the sporadic blink of sunshine coincided with the passage of the train.
Headbolt Lane: Headbolt Lane, opened on 5th October 2023, seen here at 16.13 on Tuesday, 29th April 2025 with 777148 waiting to depart for Liverpool Central. The far end of this lengthy platform is used by the hourly Northern service to Manchester Victoria via Wigan Wallgate and separated from the Merseyrail side of the platform by a buffer stop. A second platform for Merseyrail trains is out of view on the right.

Doncaster: 66784 heads through Doncaster on the goods line, passing the former BREL works, on 25th June 2025. This is 6Z50, the 1050 Doncaster to Rylstone empties for loading at the quarry.
