Millerhill Yard Down Secondary Sorting Sidings (1961-1983)

Opened on the Millerhill Marshalling Yard (British Railways).

Description

This was a set of 9 single ended sorting sidings on the west side of the Millerhill Yard Down Sorting Sidings at their northern end.

The sidings were lifted in 1983.

This is now the site of the northern part of the new Borders Railway (Network Rail), the portion of line between Newcraighall North Junction and Newcraighall south Junction. It takes a different course to the sidings, cutting across their site.
