This mine, opened about 1895 by the Cowdenbeath Coal Company, was linked by a short mineral railway running south east to the 1890 Kelty to Cowdenbeath (North British Railway) at Mossbeath Colliery Sidings, exchange sidings making a trailing connection to the northbound line.
A later connection ran north to the Cowdenbeath Colliery lines and another short connect ran south from near Mossbeath Colliery Sidings to the Hill of Beath Colliery Lines (and Hill of Beath Washery).
Latterly the the connection to Mossbeath Colliery Sidings closed, with the only rail connection to the north.
