This junction was located on the Lugar Iron Works branch between Lugar Ironworks Junction and the works. It was located north of the junction and was where, to the south, the lines to the blast furnaces divided. To the north was the connection to the Glasgow and South Western Railway and the private line north to various pits served by the Lugar Ironworks Railway.
