Quango chiefs look set to scrap the linkspan at Gourock Ferry Terminal as part of a major redevelopment project - just 17 months after spending £2m of taxpayers' cash on it.

A new row has blown up over further curbs to services due to high winds, as at least 11 lifeline CalMac ferry suffered suspensions yesterday (Wednesday) morning as high winds and snow hit Scotland.
