Scotland's students are being given a welcome end of summer fares boost, thanks to a massive 50 per cent discount on tickets from ScotRail.

This means half price travel on any off-peak ScotRail services on all routes between 6 and 26 September so students can get out and about for less and maybe take a trip to a different city or catch up with friends before term starts.

With a bit more money in their pockets they can also look forward to Freshers Week whether they are new students or ones whove been around a while.
