Kirbymoorside
Heading west from Kirbymoorside to Helmsley there still remains a lengthy section of intact trackbed running on sections of embankment from Starfitt Lane level crossing before running across the impressive Kirkdale Viaduct. See image 58392. After the viaduct a short section of the solum of the line running west has been covered and grassed over upto overbridge HMY14 on Kirkdale Lane, seen here in a view looking west. Beyond the bridge the route of line has been obliterated either side of the A170 road, through to just east of Nawton Station, as a result of land being ploughed out to allow planting of arable crops.
