Kirbymoorside
Looking from the A170 road to the substructure needed to maintain a level base for the Station House section of the former Kirbymoorside station buildings. See image 72027. After being vacated by Russells Agriculture the site was acquired by Tesco, but after the accounting scandal it was decided that it was no longer to be developed. Unfortunately, a decision was taken to demolish the station building. A small housing estate Weighbridge Close has been built off view to left of the station site, and in 2020 a veterinary practice was built where this view was taken from; although the actual station and track area beyond is covered by mounds of spoil.
