Hindley
When I visited Deep Pit footbridge in January 2024 rail staff were making preparations for the electrification of the Wigan to Lostock route. I wonder, if the bridge had not been Grade II listed the previous September, if it would have survived that? Surrounding vegetation means it is not an easy structure to photograph but that single span is impressive from all angles.
