Perth Princes Street: The remains of Perth Princes Street station photographed in April 1971. The station closed to passengers as from 28/02/1966 with goods traffic having already having come to an end on 07/09/1964.

Hindley: When I visited Deep Pit footbridge in January 2024 rail staff were making preparations for the electrification of the Wigan to Lostock route. I wonder, if the bridge had not been Grade II listed the previous September, if it would have survived that? Surrounding vegetation means it is not an easy structure to photograph but that single span is impressive from all angles.
