Carmuirs Tunnel: More lost freight. 56049 nears Carmuirs Tunnel on 19th March 2025, with empty and redundant tank wagons from Grangemouth Refinery to MoD Eastriggs for storage.

Newsham: Monday 17th March 2025 was the opening day for Newsham station on the Ashington line and although cold the sun shone brightly. 158850 is arriving on the first day with 2T34, the 14.00 Ashington - Newcastle.

Lucrett (Monks Corner Goods): This is the old station house at Luckett, on the closed line from Gunnnislake to Callington, in March 2012. The railway station and platform were behind the hedge on the left. I think this is now a B&B house.

Horton-in-Ribblesdale: Coronation Pacific 46229 ‘Duchess of Hamilton’ with a 1982 ‘Cumbrian Mountain Pullman’, on the Long Drag near Selside, to the north of Horton-in-Ribblesdale.

Newton Heath: Looking down St Mary's Road at Newton Heath, just below the road entrance to the depot, on 12th February 2025. This is the distinctive bridge on the line to Rochdale. It was originally a much smaller brick arch structure but this steel bridge was constructed when the road was widened. See image [[90941]] of this bridge from a passing train.

Moss-side Level Crossing: On the right is the stump of the signal for Moss-side Level Crossing for trains approaching from the west. The photograph is taken on the portion of the former line in Methven Moss.
