Aldbar Castle (1540-1964)Description
This castle, converted into a house, no longer exists. In the 1840s and 50s the then owner Patrick Chalmers modified the building. He was a promoter and shareholder in the Arbroath and Forfar Railway and Auldbar Road station was 5 miles to the south.
