This short viaduct linked the line running north from Dawsholm station under the Kelvin Aqueduct of the Forth and Clyde Canal to the Dawsholm Gas Works. A triangular junction served the gas works lines, the southern apex of this triangle being on the bridge.
The abutments, altered, remain.
