This was a single track girder viaduct over the River Kelvin immediately south of the Kelvin Aqueduct of the Forth and Clyde Canal. It carried a minerals only branch from the west side of the south end of Dawsholm station over the Kelvin and through Dawsholm Tunnel to a set of exchange sidings on the south side of the Temple Gas Works. That works and the Dawsholm Gas Works could be reached on private lines by reversal (the latter via a tunnel under the canal).
The branch passed over the top of the Kelvindale Paper Works branch, itself crossing the Kelvin to reach the paper works.
This line is shown on OS Maps until closure of the Dawsholm branch in 1966. Some sources indicate closure in the 1920s. Photographs taken in 1964 show the bridge's girders removed with only the piers remaining.
Today the piers remain standing.
