Network Rail teams up with best-selling Adventures on Trains authors M.G. Leonard and Sam Sedgman to inspire the next generation aboard a Porterbrook hybrid train “ the HydroFLEX.
Primary schoolchildren from Glasgow will join the authors, along with engineers from Network Rail and Porterbrook, for a fun-packed literary journey where they can learn about the secrets of storytelling and how technology is powering rails green revolution in Britain. Network Rail has today announced plans to work with rolling stock owner and asset manager, Porterbrook, to showcase some of the best of British low-carbon train technology at the UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26), which will be held in Glasgow later this year.

Rolling stock leasing and management company Porterbrook has appointed of Mark Wyborn as its new Head of Freight Commercial, with responsibility for developing its first dedicated freight strategy and building 'strong commercial partnerships' with existing freight operators, new market entrants and Network Rail.
