RAGES were invited to attend the 9th year of Railfuture's Rail User Group (RUG) awards on 15th July 2023.

Attending on behalf of RAGES were Barrie Forrest BEM, chairperson, Tom Dickson, vice-chairperson and Glenn Moulding, committee member.

Barrie and Tom received the award on behalf of RAGES.

Tom gave a short presentation to the audience which consisted of how RAGES got started, their successes and future ambitions for a new station for Haddington.

Several new railway stations could be set to come to West Fife if proposals to expand Scotland's railway network are progressed.

Influential think tank Railfuture Scotland has mapped out the list of 51 stations to be opened or re-opened in a bid to tempt the public back aboard trains as COVID restrictions are lifted and as the nation shifts away from carbon-emitting cars.
