A largs councillor has slammed ScotRail's decision to press ahead with slashing opening hours at the Largs station ticket office.
It will close at 1.30pm Monday to Thursdays, 5.30pm Friday and Saturdays and 1pm on Sundays, the railway company have announced after a consultation period ended. Councillor Alex Gallagher slammed the decision after a string of recent violent late-night incidents on the line. A new customer lounge area has opened at Motherwell station as part of the station's redevelopment. The former waiting area between platform 2 and platform 3 at Motherwell station has been transformed into a new lounge area. Customers can now benefit from a larger, warmer, brighter, refurbished area with padded benches, new flooring, and softer lighting, making the station a more comfortable place to catch a train. The work forms part of a 14.5m project to redevelop the station and create a new transport interchange in Motherwell.
