(Permalink) Central Wales Extension Railway Heart of Wales Line Sugar Loaf Halt Sugar Loaf: The bustling metropolis that is Sugar Loaf on the Central Wales line. The tunnel and Sugar Loaf itself are off to the right (east). Sugar Loaf Halt: A rare passenger indeed (Bill Jamieson) watches a Swansea-Shrewsbury train formed by a Class 150 unit disappear away from the tiny and remote Sugar Loaf halt on the Central Wales Line in the summer of 2008. Despite its remote location it has been provided with one of the C.I.S. displays which are currently being rolled out at stations along the Heart of Wales line. See image [[43677]]
