ScotRail has confirmed the expansion of its Travel Safe Team following the train operators current recruitment drive. ScotRail is actively recruiting 24 Travel Safe Officers, three Travel Safe Supervisors, and one Safeguarding Manager. Once complete, this recruitment will make permanent the current temporary team of nine, adding 19 new posts to make it a team of 28. Following the selection process, ScotRail hopes to begin the phased introduction of the new team members in the autumn.

Transport police are stepping up their patrols on West Dunbartonshire's trains in a bid to crack down on anti-social behaviour.

The British Transport Police (BTP) has joined forces with a dedicated Travel Safe Team put together by train operator ScotRail to give reassurance to staff and law-abiding passengers on trains between Dalmuir and Balloch.
