Hindley
The 'Friends of Hindley Station' have worked wonders on the station gardens. It once had four platforms and the area once occupied by the lifted tracks has been landscaped and planted as has the operational Manchester bound platform. Hybrid Flex unit 769450, working from Oxford Road to Southport, calls on 18th September 2024. By the distant bridge, which is presently being lifted for electrification, the signal for Crow Nest Junction can be seen 76587.
