Cabin [Tram]: 'Millennium' car 724 leaves Cabin, heading towards Bispham, in October 2010. Rebuilt from a 'Balloon' car, 724 was further modified soon after this date to work on the rebuilt tramway but the reliability of the new 'Flexity' trams meant it was not required and it has been in store at Rigby Road depot since 2013.

Geilston Crossing: Ian Riley's Black 5 44871, with support coach, passes Geilston crossing on day 2 of a move from the NYMR to Fort William. This was a replacement for 45212 which had gone south to Toton earlier in the month, reportedly for tyre turning.

Forest Hill: Forest Hill, northbound platform, seen from a speeding Thameslink service from Cambridge to Brighton, on the morning of Monday, 14th June 2021. This station in the south-east London suburbs was opened as Dartmouth Arms with the London & Croydon Railway on 5th June 1839 and renamed Forest Hill in 1845. It was rebuilt by the LBSCR when the line was quadrupled in the early 1850s with four platforms, two side on the slow tracks and a narrow central island platform on the fast tracks. The station was badly damaged by bombing in WWII but was patched up and survived in a semi-derelict state until BR demolished the buildings and replaced them with a CLASP style prefabricated building in 1972. The central island platform had been demolished circa 1967.

Silverstripe Saw Mill: By 1900 the Silverstripe Saw Mill (located in the small village of New Banchory) has gained a narrow gauge internal tramway which seems to have reached into most areas of the site and ran parallel to and behind the loading bank adjacent to the siding. Timber was not only transported by road and rail but also on the River Dee from the eighteenth Century. It is known that timber was floated (probably for the last time) 'from Dess to the sawmills at Banchory in 1884'. The change from dragging timber up from the river allowed the site to be rearranged and a tramway installed. Bispham [Tram]: Although it is over eighty years old, Blackpool Balloon 711 is still in front line service and on 19th June 2021 was supplementing the modern Flexity fleet on the central section of the route, seen here calling at Bispham. Modifications to 711 however, (disfigurements?) such as livery, bus style windows, widened doors, removal of skirts and guards have not improved its appearance. See image [[63931]] for the classical original style.
