Diggle: TPE 802208, Liverpool to Newcastle, approaches the site of Diggle station, and Standedge Tunnel, on 19th June 2024. The loop on the right is still operational but the rails were quite rusty. On the left were once the slow lines, the trackbed now used as an access road by Network Rail. In the distance is Diggle Junction signal box, presently operational despite the resignalling but it will not survive electrification.
Camden Town: West side entrance to Camden Town station, designed by Leslie W. Green (1874-1908) and opened as part of the Charing Cross, Euston & Hampstead Railway on 22nd June 1907, seen here on 4th July 2024. It was joined here by the City & South London Railway in 1924 with its extension from Euston (and also with its extension from Embankment to Kennington in south London), and after the extension of the CSLR from Clapham Common to Morden in 1926, the combined lines became known as the Morden-Edgware line until 1937 when it became the Northern Line.

Blyth Staiths: Looking south over the cut-down base of the North Side Staiths (per OS maps) at Blyth in 1987. These were once much higher to allow coal to be dropped from railway wagons into coastal ships. In the left background is Alcan's facility for transferring alumina to trains for Fort William.
Settrington: View looking at the weighbridge building for the former Settrington station. This was on the line between Malton Scarborough Road Junction and Driffield, and was the station before North Grimston when heading to Driffield., The two stations are only around 1 & 1/2 miles apart, with Settrington being sited more to serve the nearby Settrington Grange than the village of Settrington; which was some distance from the station.

The crossing is one of eight over a 15 mile stretch of the ECML which are all remotely monitored by CCTV and under manual control from Alnmouth signal box, just over 1 mile to the north of this point.
