Description

This was a set of sidings west of Paisley Gilmour Street, and the former Stoneybrae Twin Signal Box, on the Glasgow and South Western Railway's line to Ayr. Stoneybrae Signal Box was to the west. The depot was also known as the Ayrshire Coal Depot or Paisley Minerals.

Looped sidings were on the north side of the line, off the eastbound line.

The depot was on the south side of the line, sidings approached from the west. Road access was off Hunter Street.

Both signal boxes were on the north side of the line.

Further west were the Paisley Gas Works, Paisley Western Coal Depot [1st] and Paisley Western Coal Depot [2nd] sidings, controlled from King Street Signal Box. Beyond again was Linwood Junction.
