A campaign is under way to close an open level railway crossing road in Ross-shire amid safety fears from the local community.
People living in Craig Road in Dingwall say the route is a safety hazard with 44-tonne HGVs from Tesco trying to access the store's delivery area, just yards from one of the town's three ungated railway crossing. The crossing - Dingwall No 1 - is on the Rail Regulator's high risk list and Network Rail has been told to make it safer, or close it.
