Plans to turn an old rail route into a green corridor for pedestrians and cyclists have been held up because the council is too busy on the Spaces for People programme. [Railscot note: use of the trackbed between Easter Road, Meadowbank and Piershill would block railway use of the route, various uses of which have included provision of extra capacity or sidings.]
