A small goods yard was opened with the passenger station, just to its south. A new goods yard opened further east during the station expansion (east of Bog Road overbridge).
This yard was approached from the terminus via a reversing spur parallel, and south of, the line to Bridge of Dun. This was a large goods yard with a large goods yard and several sets of sidings. South of the goods yard was City Sawmills [Brechin].
Brechin Shed [2nd] was also approached via the spur. Immediately to the north the lines to Brechin North Junction curved north from a junction facing the station.
A large cobbled area and weighbridge remain here.
