The plans are set to be debated by North Lanarkshire councillors in mid-December but Lanarkshire Live understands that North Lanarkshire Council planners will move to reject the plans.

The Russell Group is seeking permission to build a railhead logistics hub at the former industrial site at a cost of around £200 million.
