The first Intercity 125 to sport the Virgin Trains East Coast livery went into passenger service in Edinburgh over the weekend. Departing Edinburgh Waverley on Saturday morning, it is the first HST to carry passengers in Virgin colours since the operator took over the franchise with Stagecoach in March. The Mark 3 fleet is being incrementally updated at Craigentinny depot by Stewart Signs. All 14 trains are set to be completed by October. [From Richard Buckby]
